Whether your daily update is an automated email of upcoming events, a list of tasks you need to accomplish before going home at night, or a report on team availability for the day ahead, it can make work more efficient and communication easier. Just be sure your daily agenda is only shared with people who need it and should not contain confidential information (e.g. private calendars or staff meetings).
When a user invokes an intent you’ve configured as a daily update, they receive a notification they can tap to subscribe to the updates. This can happen either mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the Action ends successfully. Once the subscription is in place, the user can expect to see your update at its scheduled time each day.
To create a daily update, select it in the dashboard and then click the pencil icon to edit its properties. For example, you can set the recurrence and the days on which the update should be published. You can also specify an offset from the date you set for a specific task to account for daylight savings.
You can also schedule the publication and removal of your update by clicking on its icon in the dashboard or mobile app. This can be useful if you want to promote an event or feature temporarily, such as for volunteer recruitment or a limited-time sale. You can also add an expiry date to the update if you want it to disappear at a particular time.
