Global Climate Change is a very urgent environmental issue and has a broad impact on human life and ecosystems. The effects include rising global temperatures, melting polar ice caps, and an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters such as floods, droughts and storms. Data from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that global temperatures have increased by almost 1.1 degrees Celsius since the pre-industrial era, and if this trend continues, more severe impacts will be felt in 2050. One of the main challenges in dealing with climate change is the world’s dependence on fossil energy. The transportation, industry and electricity generation sectors still use oil, coal and natural gas as fuel. Efforts to switch to renewable energy sources such as solar and wind require large investments and better technology. Apart from that, unsustainable consumption patterns also worsen climate conditions. Therefore, public awareness of the need to reduce carbon footprints is very important. From an agricultural perspective, climate change threatens global food security. Changes in rainfall patterns and temperatures can reduce crop yields, increase vulnerability to pests, and worsen soil quality. Sustainable agricultural practices, such as crop rotation and use of organic fertilizer, can help mitigate these impacts. Education to farmers about appropriate agricultural techniques must also be improved. It is not only the agricultural sector, but also the health sector that is affected by climate change. Increasing temperatures and climate change can trigger the spread of infectious diseases such as malaria and dengue fever. Public health programs that focus on mitigating disease risks, such as improving drainage systems and better access to health care, are crucial. At the policy level, international collaboration is urgently needed to address climate change. Agreements such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement demonstrate a global commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Countries should work together to share green technologies and provide financial support to developing countries in mitigation and adaptation efforts. Innovative solutions are also emerging through technology. The development of electric vehicles, efficient energy storage systems, and carbon capture techniques can provide new hope in reducing the impact of climate change. Adoption of smart technology in water resources management can increase efficiency and maintain sustainability. Public awareness and education regarding climate change cannot be ignored either. Educational programs that provide information and encourage action at the individual level can help create a society that is more responsive to environmental issues. Campaigns to reduce plastic use, recycling and saving energy are some of the steps that need to be encouraged. Finally, changing people’s mindset and lifestyle towards sustainability is an important step that must be taken. Using public transportation, reducing meat consumption, and choosing local products can reduce individual and collective carbon footprints. Every small action can have a big impact in fighting global climate change. Understanding each person’s responsibility in preserving the environment is the key to achieving a more sustainable future.
